Measuring Tip: if you already have net curtains: we recommend you measure from the window sill to the top of the rod/wire and then add on 1cm. So for example if it measures 115cm from your window sill to the top of the wire, we recommend you enter: Window Height 116cm. Or if measuring in inches add 1/2 inch above the wire, so for example if it measures 45 inches from the window sill to the top of the wire enter: Window Height 45.5 inches.

Window Width

Window Width - one large curtain Simply enter your window width, we will work out your fabric width and you will receive one large curtain for your window

Window Width - pair of curtains Some customers, may be putting their curtains up at the patio door so would rather have a pair of curtains. If you would like to do this, simply divide your window width by 2 , and then when you go to the shopping basket change the quantity to 2. We will then make a curtain for each half of your window so you will have a pair.

Fabric Width - For example, I need 8 mtrs (800cm) fabric width for my curtain. If you would like to do this simply enter the value as window width and then at the gather option below, change the gather to 1. You will then receive the same amount of fabric as the window width.

Window Height

Measuring Window Height - inside recess - We recommend you measure the complete inside recess from the window sill all the way to the plaster at the top of your window. When you hang your curtains there will be about a 3/4 inch gap at the bottom.

Measuring Window Height -Wire is in fixed position If your wire is in a fixed position and you can not move it we recommend you measure from the window sill to 1cm (0.5 inch) above the top of the wire, enter this as your window height.

Gather

Gather - Gather is the difference between the window width and the width of the fabric for the curtains.
All the pictures on the website show double gather this is also our recommended option. So for example if your window width is 100cm your fabric width would be 200cm.

Sides

Sides overlocked - We use one of our overlocking machines to finish off the edges, this prevents the edges from fraying. Picture below.

Sides Hemmed - This is our most professional finish. Picture below.

Heading

Slotted top
This is the standard finish on all of our net curtains and is suitable for all net rods / wire. There are two rows of stitching in the top of the net curtains aprox 1 1/2 inches apart and can be used on all net wire, or any net rod up to 19mm (3/4inch) diameter

Slotted Top and Bottom
This is ideal on doors as you can put the rods / wire through the top and the bottom of the curtain, therefore keeping the curtain in position when the door opens and closes.

2 inch Clear Curtain Tape
This is clear curtain tape that we stitch onto the top of the curtains. You then slide hooks onto the tape and hang the curtains on a curtain track

3 inch curtain tape
This is slightly wider curtain tape, similar to what is used on lined curtains, once again the hooks slide through the tape and you hang your curtains on a track

Charlotte is a top quality embroidered voile, the main design of the net curtains is in three sections. Above the third section, the Charlotte Net curtains are completely plain. The design is very intricate and has small stars, but the centre of the stars are opened so you can see straight through, which is a beautiful design feature of these voiles. Charlotte voiles also have a scalloped edge on the bottom which goes up and down 1 inch in height. We also offer this in a jardinieres and cafe nets if you fancy a combination of different styles.

I bought this for a plain glass door, having the pattern at the bottom allowed me to match with fire retardent curtains for windows of conservatory without being assaulted by a mass of patterns. End result - very pleased.

I ordered six of the Charlotte embroidered voile curtains in various sizes which arrived approximately seven days from order. These arrived all neatly packaged and labelled for each window with the size and for which room the curtain was to be hung. On taking out of the package, no creases were found in any of them and they fitted perfectly. They were absolutely gorgeous and look terrific at the windows. Thankyou to the staff who made my order up.
