Measuring Tip: if you already have net curtains: we recommend you measure from the window sill to the top of the rod/wire and then add on 1cm. So for example if it measures 115cm from your window sill to the top of the wire, we recommend you enter: Window Height 116cm. Or if measuring in inches add 1/2 inch above the wire, so for example if it measures 45inches from the window sill to the top of the wire enter: Window Height 45.5 inches.
This is simply where your window is in the house, for example (Lounge Large) we label each curtain seperately. Therefore if you have several curtains, when you hang them in your windows, you will know which curtain goes in each window.
Window Width - one large curtain Simply enter your window width, we will work out your fabric width and you will receive one large curtain for your window
Window Width - pair of curtains Some customers, may be putting their curtains up at the patio door so would rather have a pair of curtains. If you would like to do this, simply divide your window width by 2 , and then when you go to the shopping basket change the quantity to 2. We will then make a curtain for each half of your window so you will have a pair.
Fabric Width - For example, I need 8 mtrs (800cm) fabric width for my curtain. If you would like to do this simply enter the value as window width and then at the gather option below, change the gather to 1. You will then receive the same amount of fabric as the window width.
Measuring Window Height - inside recess - We recommend you measure the complete inside recess from the window sill all the way to the plaster at the top of your window. When you hang your curtains there will be about a 3/4 inch gap at the bottom.
Measuring Window Height -Wire is in fixed position If your wire is in a fixed position and you can not move it we recommend you measure from the window sill to 1cm (0.5 inch) above the top of the wire, enter this as your window height.
Gather - Gather is the difference between the window width and the width of the fabric for the curtains. All the pictures on the website show double gather this is also our recommended option. So for example if your window width is 100cm your fabric width would be 200cm.
There a photo below of the different gathers available. The single gather is on the left, which is completely flat like a sheet of glass. One and a half gather is next to this. The double gather which is most popular is in the middle. 2.5 Gather is next to this which has slightly more folds in the curtain and triple gather which is the most luxurious is on the right hand side.
Sides overlocked -
We use one of our overlocking machines to finish off the edges, this prevents the edges from fraying. Picture below.
Sides Hemmed -
This is our most professional finish. Picture below.
This is the standard finish on all of our net curtains and is suitable for all net rods / wire. There are two rows of stitching in the top of the net curtains aprox 1 1/2 inches apart and can be used on all net wire, or any net rod up to 19mm (3/4inch) diameter
Slotted Top and Bottom
This is ideal on doors as you can put the rods / wire through the top and the bottom of the curtain, therefore keeping the curtain in position when the door opens and closes.
2 inch Clear Curtain Tape
This is clear curtain tape that we stitch onto the top of the curtains. You then slide hooks onto the tape and hang the curtains on a curtain track
3 inch curtain tape
This is slightly wider curtain tape, similar to what is used on lined curtains, once again the hooks slide through the tape and you hang your curtains on a track
Anna is a plain white FR Voile that meets all the British fire regulations. Therefore they are ideal for any property that is a commercial premises such as a bed and breakfast or a hotel. Here are some photos of different gathers.
Gather: There is an image below which shows you the different gather options. This is entirely the customers own choice. At the moment double gather tends to be the most popular as this offers good value for money. Some people prefer to have 2.5 or triple gather however this will be more expensive because this will require more fabric. Look at the photos below and see which option you prefer.

They even called to check when I inadvertently put the depth in inches instead of cm. that would have given a vey wide but curtain! Would definitely use this firm again.
